New Eco Vehicles Top Trumps
06 December 2007
A new limited edition version Top Trumps has been produced, one that includes only eco-friendly vehicles.
It has been developed by climate change charity Marches Energy Agency and will be sent to every secondary school in the country.
Whereas engine size and horsepower used to be winning features on the key trump cards, now lowest CO2 emissions, and fuel efficiency are superior.
The front of the pack features former England soccer international goalkeeper David James’s Chrysler car which runs on pure plant oil.
Kris McGowan, the senior project manager at Marches Energy Agency who helped to develop the new game, said: “Eco Vehicles Top Trumps is a fun and entertaining way to educate youngsters about the new range of climate friendly options available for transport.
“There are also vehicles in there for the ‘petrol heads’, like the Tesla, that has a top speed of 133mph, or the Killacycle that does 0-60mph in under one second.”
A limited number of the packs will be available on ebay to raise money for the climate change charity.
