Matt Lucas's former civil partner Kevin McGee has committed suicide at his home in Edinburgh.

The 32-year-old, who married Lucas in December 2006, was found hanged at his flat in Bruntsfield by police at 8am yesterday.

The pair separated in June 2008 and their divorce was finalised in December, Lucas citing McGee's "unreasonable behaviour".

Used to have few drinks with him in a local bar, his place is just a short walk from where I lives. Bummer.

Gary Barlow's father died suddenly presumably of a suspected heart attack.

To prolong further agony he is due to attend Stephen Gately's funeral tomorrow.

Hope he get well and attend the Children In Need at the Royal Albert Hall next month as he is organising it.

Joseph Wiseman, James Bond’s Dr. No, Dies at 91
Published: October 20, 2009

Joseph Wiseman, a longtime stage and screen actor most widely known for playing the villainous title character in “Dr. No,” the first feature film about James Bond, died on Monday at his home in Manhattan. He was 91.

His daughter, Martha Graham Wiseman, confirmed the death, saying her father had recently been in declining health.

Released in 1962, “Dr. No” was the first in what proved to be a decades-long string of Bond movies. Starring Sean Connery and Ursula Andress, the film featured Mr. Wiseman as Dr. Julius No, the sinister scientist who was Bond’s first big-screen adversary.

Mr. Wiseman’s other film credits include “Detective Story” (1951); “Viva Zapata!” (1952); “The Garment Jungle” (1957); “The Unforgiven” (1960); “The Night They Raided Minsky’s” (1968) and “The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz” (1974).

Donington Park owner Tom Wheatcroft has died aged 87 following a long illness.

The multi-millionaire revived Donington as a motor-racing venue in the 1970s at a cost of £100,000.

Last week Donnigton failed to raise the cash to upgrade the track so that the British F1 Grand Prix could be staged there next year.

Emmy award-winning writer David Lloyd has died, aged 75.

The American sitcom creator passed away at his home in Beverly Hills, California on 10th November after a battle with prostate cancer.

The sitcom writer worked on Cheers, Frasier and Taxi to name a few.

In my personal comment, he will be missed. I remembered that he wrote one of the best Cheers episodes 'Coach Buries a Grudge'.

Coach learned one of his dead best friends tried to make a pass at his wife years ago. The best line is at the end: 'lets hang him in effigy' to which coach replies 'The heck with that, let’s hang him right here in Boston!'Clap

Genius writer, wonderful man.
