This very risky to start a topic with all tese newbies wrecking the forum, but its one of the greatest cups and I felt we needed a topic so we could talk about the FA cup maybe there will be a surprise win, but its a bit too late. The cholchester and chelsea game was great today, a really enjoyable match. I aplaud colchester they done very well and are great young side. |

yeah, they were good, but not good enough for the Special One and co. Well, this weekends ties have been very enjoyable, shame about Alan Smith though, it looked like it hurt! chelsea played well, Liverpool shouldn't be through, and Darren bent's still whacking them in the back of the net from left right and centre. The last 8 is now all Premiership teams. Who do you think will win? Charlton are looking very good this season, I wouldn't be suprised if they did win. |

Wembley's not going to be ready for the final so they're moving to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff instead.
Those Buliders should get a move on. |

Yeah well done to you, I don't see how the free kick which led to the first goal was a free kick. Drogba should have scored and so should have Joe Cole, but in the end, the better team won. Geremi, shouldn't have played so badly, that's who I'm cheesed off with |

That's very fair minded of you! I wasn't sure about the free kick
myself but apparently if a player goes into a tackle with six studs
showing, it's a foul. That's why it was a free kick. Even if he does
get the ball it would seem! But then the Chelsea wall was all at sea
and should easily have blocked that shot from Riise.
Liverpool were the better team for around 70 minutes but got battered towards the end. A shame from Chelseas point of view that their strikers were doing what ours were doing for the first half of the season!! Unlucky guys, have to wait a bit longer for that elusive double. It's not as easy as you think ![]() ![]()

We might actually have a good final this year, last years wasn't great in my mind. The last decent one I think was Chelsea vs Arsenal.

When Arsenal won? My favourites were Wembely '97 when Di Matteo scored 43 seconds in (Or was that the Coca Cola cup?) and Wembeley '00 when chelsea beat villa 1 - 0, Di Matteo scoring again. I even have the programme to that match and the DVD which is about that match. |

I know its not usual, but I prefer it when arsenal are not in the final as I don't mind who wins and th ematch is better for as there is no adrenaline.

I think Chelsea got what they deserved to be honest. I hate Chelsea and I know I'm gonna be biased, but I'm really not a fan of Liverpool either but was absolutely thrilled when they beat the "Special One". My rant on this will be about Mourinho - and how much of a sore loser he is. I watch MotD (Match of the Day) most Saturdays, and to my disgust, whenever Chelsea lose (which, to give them some credit, is not very often) Mourinho ALWAYS gives an excuse, or claims they deserved to win. I remember watchin one game a couple of weeks back when they were outplayed, and lost something like 3-1, I can't rmember who against, but after the game Mourinho went into the interviews and claimed they were the better team! And he was so darned arrogant and cocky, and it was almost as if he thought he could do no wrong! And also, with the game against Liverpool, he exaggerated so much about the importance of the referee's decisions on the game, and didn't even give credit to Liverpool for their fantastic first half performance, which a lot of decent manager's do. Most of this can be said for Arsene Wenger too. Yes, they are great managers, but I hate their attitudes towards other people and other teams. |

Arsene Wenger - 'I did not see it' When someone plays on he says - 'How did they not see it!?' It's a crazy world out there. |

i think the match MarkBG is talking about is the chelsea middlesbrough game where they got beaten 3-0 at the riverside, i too agree that mourinho is a sore loser, lIverpool did play very well against chelsea on saturday, to be fair keane's goal should not have stood as eboue was down injured and they should have put the ball out of play like you are meant to do when a player is injured

but I'm not sure if he did see it, and it was an Arsenal player who took out Eboue. No offence to Liverpool fans, but I have been speaking to many people at school about the weekend's game, and they would have preffered a Chelsea v West ham final because they find Liverpool a bit too boring. |

That's a bit rich! It won't be quite as one sided I shouldn't think.
Who wants to watch West Ham virtually guaranteed to lose about 4-0. Chelsea only really lost cos Mourinho got it all wrong so they've only themselves to blame. And you can't really call Liverpool boring after Istanbul last May! |
