We all know that we didn't qualify for Euro 2008 and we are very disappointed, many of us even have the pack and will watch some of the games. Will you be watching and what are your predictions?
I want Italy to win as my Grandma comes from there, I have also put money on them, but I think that Germany have the best chance of winning. Italy and france also have great chances! |

i've gotta cheer on Spain,simply for the fact that they have probably the best striker and goalie in Torres and Reina,and i have bet on them too,and i support Liverpool.Failing that i would like to see Holland win it (so much talent but never manage to do it at major tournaments)

Has anyone just seen the match Switzerland - Czech Republic?!?
I was for Switzerland but they definitely didn't deserve to win... WHAT a fiasco

I will be honest, but I am really gutted that England did not get through. They have always been (since I can remember) a good source of income for me. You see, I have and always will bet against them even if they play a team like Langney junoirs I will still bet against them. I have won more money than lost.
I reckon that the final 4 will be Holland (especially after the hammering they gave Italy last night), Croatia, Russia and Germany and possibly Holland will win. That is what I have come to anyway. So, to be safe do not bet that Holland will win because I have just doomed them. I know absoluterly zilch about footie because to me it is a game for he-she mamby pamby tarts kicking a plastic sphere about and when they score they then have the right to publically grope and kiss each other and then ask each other if their hair still looks OK after that header or is my bum to big in these shorts!! |

Don't know about Russia, they lost their first game and their star player is banned for one more game, but we'll see. Not sure if Croatia can get past Portugal or Czech the, but i'm bad at guessing results too.

That's probably the most likely. I seriously underestimated the russians! I didn't think they had a chance before hand, but they've done really well and managed to get the the semi finals. I think that Turkey's run has come to an end, they don't really have that much quality and relied on mistakes at the endings of matches. I reckon that Spain will do the double over Russia.
It was quite ironic that a player for the team I support scored the winning penalty against the Country that I was supporting. I didn't really want him to score, but if they had to score a winner I was glad that it was him. I think that Germany will beat Spain in the final if my prediction is correct.
Germany have a lot more strength and quality than Spain I think. Spain also found it hard to break down Sweden and Italy, but they do play really well and have a lot of pace. My only issue is why Fabregas doesn't start. I don't mean to be biased but he must be one of the top five Spanish midfielders he plays well for Arsenal week in and week out and already has a goal and assist in one game after coming on.

Yeah, someone else mentioned that too and as I said to them was 'what I meant was not to rule them out in the future!"  Not that you believe me!!I was gutted that Spain got through though as it would have been rather interesting for Russia to have won because how on earth are they in Europe? Russian is part of the Asian continent! Well on Saturday I will be rooting for Germany to win but I feel that the Spaniards are a better team, based on their performance last night! |
