Why Manchester United Alex Ferguson don't talk to the BBC after games but will to Sky Sports?

Something to do with the BBC slating Ferguson a number of years ago and he spat out his dummy and took his ball home!

Carlisle beat Bristol City to go into the 3rd round of League Cup,for the first time in donkeys!!

Ah right, for a moment I thought it was something to do with his son Darren.

Suppose Alex doesn't want an apology, bet Sky been really careful not to offend him after all this.

So for the first time since 1976, yes 1976, Carlisle are into the 3rd round of the league cup. Drawn at home to premier league bottom team Portsmouth. Never a better time to play them I suppose.

Congratulations to the England Women for reaching the final of the Euro Championships. Only Germany in the final. Piece of cake then considering Germany have won the last 6 out of 7. Surely it's our turn. Live on Eurosport on Thursday if anyone fancies tuning in to cheer on the ladies!

I can confirm that BBC2 is also showing this game live not that I'm watching it of course!

It was a last minute decision somehow.

Well, it was a bad loss to the ladies. Can't remember final score but in 81st minute it was 6-2 to Germany. Was that it or was there more goals?

No, it finished 6-2. Always going to be difficult against a good German side but an achievement getting to the final anyway!

Am I imagining things that a player in Tottenham v Man Utd game wore a black armband?

The name of Standard Chartered will be on Liverpool shirts for at least the next four years after signing a deal to sponsor the Reds.

A deal with the banking giant worth a reported £20 million per season. This will equate to £80m in total.

The deal signals the end of Carlsberg's association with Liverpool who have sponsored the club's shirts since 1991.

Common sense and get rid of alcohol, gambling sponsors off our screen for good.Clap

Alex Ferguson was very nice and chatty with an interviewer before the game in ESPN.

He spoke!

Still on friendly terms with Sky but still away from the BBC.

I thought that Ferguson didnt speak to the BBC because of that bungs enquiry on Panorama where the BBC looked into team who had paid agents to help transfers go through and he was accused?

An article from The Times saying that Hull City manager Phil Brown has claimed that he may have talked a woman out of jumping off the Humber Bridge.

The boss had taken his football team for a walk on the bridge to reportedly look for "clarity" after their recent 6-1 loss to Liverpool.

Pah!! England U20's. What a load of utter rubbish. 1 point from 3 games, 1 goal and a 4-0 drubbing by Ghana. Power of the Premier League perhaps??!!
