Portugal should qualify but the biggest upset could be Argentina.

Uruguay v Argentina kick off 11pm tonight.

Check out the table from this weblink below and you see that Argentina may not qualify!

If Argentina lose the game then Ecudor must beat Chile who have already qualified to knock Argentina out. I think that Argentina will win tonight, even if they lose and Ecudor win Argentina will still reach the play offs and they must be fancied against one of the middle class Asian sides.

Urugary 0 Argentina 1

Maybe this was no surprise... But still Maradona now need to do his homework more rigorously... He has used 70 players in all in the qualifiers...

And to do well in SA they need players like Cambiasso and Zanetti, the midfield combination is not yet clicking... Messi is not an out and out striker, he needs play a little above the feeding midfield and they need finishers to capitalize on the void created on the opponents box while defenders chasing him... Higuain is a good option, but he is not the best.

England’s 3-0 victory over Belarus helped ITV1 clean up in the ratings, with a peak audience of 8.3m (36%).

Not bad for a meaningless qualifier game.

Yes all done, just the play-offs to be played next month.

The draws will be drawn on Monday.

I don't really care who I want to go through as Scotland is out and Norway who finished as runners up in the same group is also out of the competition. Only Holland who finished top spot got through so a cruel cruel group after all.

What happened to David Beckam's face last night while playing for England? No wonder Armani dropped him in favour of clean shaven Ronaldo!

France, Portugal, Russia and Greece have been confirmed as the seeded teams for Monday's World Cup play-off draw.

The unseeded pot includes the other four best runners-up - Ukraine, Ireland, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovenia.

I don't know whether I'm right or wrong here, his grandfather was Jewish and he has often spoken about the affect that faith had on his life.

Still, he and his family were avid (Christian) churchgoers. At least two of his tattoos are of angels.

He's Christian officially even though or perhaps because he's quarter Jewish?

Rocks: Carlisle have been drawn away to Chesterfield in the quarter finals of the Johnstone's paint trophy. They're rubbish so we might have a chance. I'll be going to that one as it's only 10 miles down the road

Sucks: Maybe we won't have a chance as we're rubbish. Carlisle travelled all the way to Yeovil today only to lose 3-1. Bet that was a fun bus journey home. We're now firmly rooted in the relegation zone - as predicted by me at the start of the season!!

Ricocheted off a balloon or not it was shoddy defending in the conceding of that goal.

Liverpool had 92 minutes of football to score an equaliser and in that time they managed four shots on target.

Perhaps only one of those being a clear cut chance. Bent had two or three goal scoring chances himself and if it hadn't been for the heroics of Reina and Carragher on separate occasions the result would have been even more grim!

Mike Jones who incorrectly awarded Darren Bent's goal for Sunderland against Liverpool will not officiate in the Premier League this weekend.

Instead he will take charge of the Championship game between Peterborough and Sc**thorpe at London Road.

Fifa's laws of the game state that the game should have been stopped because of outside interference.

Have to agree with that folks.

To clarify, the goal shouldn't have been awarded and it should have been a drop ball on the edge of the area, according the the laws of the game

Roll up, roll up, roll up, what would Alex Ferguson's punishment be.....?

For me I would say a 5 match touchline ban but he probably appeal and reduce it down to 3.

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has been sacked - despite the Championship club being fourth in the table and bidding for promotion.

Why sack Southgate now?

At the end of last season would have been fair enough but so far so good this season.

So why get rid of him now?

If it is really down to falling attendances, if so Gibson should have taken a look at Tranmere first!

Seems like a panic decision to me but..

Where's the fire?

I would bet for Gordon Strachen to be the next manager of Middlesbrough.
