Liked the Syed and Christian scenes, it felt like it was going
nowhere last week but has started to move forward again. Great line
from Christian as well today, 'where there's greenery there's queenery'!
Great stuff with the Beales, or should that be Operation Baby Beale? I adored the scenes with Ian and Oscar at the start and his Alan Sugar/Phil Mitchell guy was hilarious. Great mixture of drama and comedy with them tonight, Jane's excitement at thinking Ian had agreed to adopt followed by her devastation at his refusal really got to me. As I keep saying though it's great to have them back in the thick of the action and long may it continue. Great to see Billy FINALLY stand up for himself and tell Peggy where to go. It's about time he grew some backbone even if it means he's playing into Archie and Janine's hands. I must say I'm finding myself taking Owen's side more and more throughout this storyline. Lucas is a great character but he is such a hypocrite! It's made for an interesting storyline though and it's giving Denise and Patricia more screen time which is always a good thing. Overall an improvement on yesterday's episode would you agree? Edited by Medusa - 03 November 2009 at 23:54 |

Former Eastenders actor Joe Swash has been declared bankrupt by London's High Court. The 27-year-old's financial setback came after he failed to pay a final £20,000 instalment of a £120,000 tax bill.![]() |

The very last final shot of Archie was creepy and scary, can't wait for tomorrow!
I've been enjoying the stuff between him and Janine and they do make quite a sinister pair. Nice to see Janine have a heart and pull out of framing Billy, they've always been good friends and I could never really see her go through with it. I wasn't expecting so much focus on bonfire night but it was really effective and created a good atmosphere for all the scenes and brought a lot of the storylines currently running together in one place. Why was Bobby dressed up? Halloween was Saturday! Really enjoyed the Ian and Jane scenes, I feel for both of them because when two people in a partnership want different things they can usually come to a compromise which makes both sides happy but in this case it's either adoption or no adoption and either way someone is going to be really unhappy. Lucy was good tonight, liked all of her scenes which is surprising. I can see Jay and Lucy working really well together, they'd be far more interesting then Peter and Lauren anyway! I don't know what to think about the the kiss between Jane and Masood, I'd hate an affair between but why have them share if a kiss if nothing is going to come of it? Hopefully the kiss won't damage Jane and Masood's friendship and that it'll be brushed under the carpet. I don't think we'll be seeing an affair any time soon? What do you think folks? I saw a side to Lucy i haven't seen in ages. She seemed scared and upset. I also expected Syed to attack her or something and was surprised when he didn't.

I enjoyed the Masood and Jane scenes at
the start of the episode; it seems that everyone understands Jane's
desires apart from Ian which is a shame considering he was all for it
only two years ago. I do hope that, whatever the outcome, we have a new
addition to the Beale clan by this time next year.
I know a few months down the line we'll probably see Ian and Jane reunite but it's going to be painful to watch them apart? Does anyone think that it could be Jane having a delayed reaction to not being able to have a child after Stephen shot her? She didn't seem to grieve too much at the time, maybe the reality of the situation is just hitting her now? Either way it's very sad. Peggy, Peggy, Peggy...when will you learn? I have to say though that I enjoyed the scenes between her and Archie and we got an interesting insight into Archie's personality and how Eric and his friends treated him. I can't believe Peggy would do such a thing after all that's happened this year and knowing full-well the reaction she's likely to get from Ronnie, although for all we know this could be yet another double-cross in this complex plot? The Lucas/Owen storyline is getting more interesting. I don't particularly like the way Lucas ordered Owen to leave as if he's some gangland boss but what makes it fascinating is that Lucas genuinely believes that this is God's will, which makes him incredibly dangerous, not only to Owen and others, but also to himself. I know it would seem like an easy way out but I'm actually thinking this storyline could end with Lucas taking his own life as a way of rectifying his wrong-doings. I wasn't expecting another good episode so soon but tonight was excellent, what do you think folks? |

Did both Winston and Tracy spoke!? I want another episode where out of the blue Tracy just wont shut up like the one with Sean last year. Do you remember that scene?
Loved Denise with her vinegar expression when the kids were talking about A Tree for Trina! And then her manic leafing through magazines to get ideas for her wedding party! Im intrigued as to what Max is up to? Is he going to cheat Phil and Peggy out of their insurance? Jay really thought he had been collared tonight by Christian and Ian didn't he? You could see him crying inside at the loss of the £50 but I'm glad Billy has a job. We're seeing a completely different side to Lucy these past few episodes. The girl who once hit her own father in a rage showed genuine concern for him tonight, the last time that happened was when Ian was missing in 2007! Of course I can't imagine it being too long before she reverts to type but I'm enjoying seeing the caring side to Lucy, and I'm enjoying her scenes with Jay. Lucy actually made me laugh when she was saying: 'Is that what a breakdown looks like, is it? is it?' A decent mix of characters and lines from both Tracey and Winston made it a good episode. What do you think folks? |

Started 3 minutes early, it's been happening a lot lately, bit annoying.
Lots of detectives on tonight's show, Roxy, Lucy and Pat, might as well be renamed The Detectives!
The brief scenes with Denise gossiping with Bianca and Tanya about the latest book club offering, just a shame Jane isn't here to complete the group. Sometimes you'll get nice little scenes like that which can make you forget about the drama happening elsewhere. Disappointed to see the mega miserable Whitney back being her usual moody and ungrateful self, I cant stand her. Enjoyed seeing Pat play Miss Marple and suss that Peggy and Archie were back together. Seemed to be a bit of a running theme with detective work tonight, as well has Pat we had Roxy's theory that another person had stayed the night, and Lucy trying to suss out who her attacker is. Expect Harry Hill to have something to say about it come Saturday! Edited by Medusa - 10 November 2009 at 21:56 |

There will be a BBC Three's one-hour special 'The Two Faces of Lucas'.
The programme takes a behind-the-scenes look at the character's imminent turning point in his story and examines how and why he turned bad - if he was ever good! It is due to air on Thursday, November 26 at 8.30pm. ![]() |

This is not confirmed but more likely though.
It looks as if EastEnders/Coronation Street clash on Thursday 26th November is not just a one off. Don't forget to add the BBC Three 8.30pm for a one hour special of 'Two Faces of Lucas' on the same night! ITV have Coronation Street airing 5 nights at 7.30pm which means that it will air in EastEnders 7.30pm Tuesday (1st Dec) and Thursday (3rd Dec) slots. Edited by Medusa - 11 November 2009 at 18:51 |

Oh dear Ian, you shouldn't have done that! Tanya's reaction was hilarious.
It's so obvious that Denise has strong feelings for Owen which will not go down too well with Lucas. Also loved seeing Patrick heavily invovled in the storyline tonight. I wonder if Archie's telling the truth? I don't even remember Archie mentioning he had cancer before? |

Charlie Clements has quit the BBC soap after nearly four years.
The 22-year-old, who has played Bradley Branning since January 2006, is to leave in a 'sensational storyline' that will play out as part of the Walford serial's 25th anniversary celebrations in February. ![]() |

Did Eastenders make a mistake last night?
On one scene.... When Sam was at the doorstep, she said 'yeah come on, a day off, you and me, lets go'. Ricky accidently says 'I cant Dan' as in Daniella. For anybody that still has the episode, can play it back and see. |

Josie Lawrence aka Manda is to leave Eastenders early next year.
Despite his screen mother's decision to quit, David Proud aka Adam, Eastender's first disabled adult character will remain. I think this is BRILLIANT news because I can't stand Josie Lawrence, never have! She has not contributed anything special to the soap - full stop. ![]() Edited by Medusa - 16 November 2009 at 10:38 |

Bit of a quiet episode tonight although it started to pick up towards the end.
The Mitchells are dreadful, their making Eastender's tiresome. The scene's between Archie and Janine are cringeworthy and the plot to get one over the Mitchells is terrible. Archie tries to burn down their family business then the next day or so he's taking Peggy to bed. Vinegar lips constant moaning and trying to get up the duff. With Sam leaving soon, makes you wonder why they even bothered bringing her back. Fab final scene with the Foxes. Loved the argument that broke out and ended with Denise yelling at them all to shut up. They really need to start using Chelsea more, hopefully her chance will come next year rather than another rushed drugs plot? Harry Hill must surely do a 'Most Delusional Lie Of The Week' for Denise's 'Libby's dress looked lovely.' |
