Probably because of annoyed people killing them. My friend accidentally killed one before. He threw one a chip and another seagull killed that one to get the chip.

Haha! No in the late 19th century they were hunted almost to extinction for the black and white stripped feathers on their tail and wingtips and used in the hats of posh country folk! It is such a shame that they did not think to export the feathers overseas for some reason and wiped the vermin out for good!
Don't get me wrong it is not the gulls themselves that I have the issue with but the stuopid ignoramouses that feed them. This encourages them in land and annoys people so much wioth their noise that poeople shoot them and poisonthem and like me when I was driving drive over them and leave a big cloud of white feathers in my wake! |

Rocks: Was sorting out the puzzles at school and opened a Da Vinci Code puzzle game and out fell a Madonna on the Rocks STT in mint condition! Cool

Sucks: My laptop is playing up. It is trying to open every programme with NotePad by default. There is no way of changing it back and I have to do a complete system restore.

Medusa did bring life to this off topic forum, from what I have seen duing my time here anyway, and I was getting used to reading all of the interesting posts he had to offer us. I have never joined a forum before this one but I seem to get the impression now that without people like Medusa around here you have to have interest in Top Trumps to have something to read or post about here. Why does hardly anyone else post in the off topic section? Not only that Medusa made me feel welcome on the forum and I have him to thank for my new profile animations as well as other things.  |

By the nature of its name, Off Topic doesn't have to be about Top Trumps, you're free to post about other subjects as well.
All we ask is that you bear in mind that Top Trumps, a Global brand, owns and hosts this site, and we all have to be very mindful indeed of the main target audience of Top Trumps, which is a younger age group appeal.
We also have a very welcome audience of us older collectors.
I know from feedback that it may appear that we are strict about the tone of posts we allow on the forum and in Off Topic - but we do have to be mindful of those younger people who may be reading, so a good rule of thumb we use is that all posts have to be "pre-watershed" in their tone.
Please bear in mind the difficult job that the admin & moderators have to do, part of which is basically policing the forum to make sure it is a safe place for all eyes to read and for everyone to enjoy.

I suppose and besides enjoying Top Trumps everyone here will probably have very different other interests instead too.

Rocks - Just seen that Civilisation V is released next month!!!!! Woohooo!!!! All four previous releases were awesome but some of the few images and a trailer and I am well impressed! I just cannot wait to get this as it is a thousand times better than IV and even that was a thousand times better that III and so on.
Sucks - Those  seagulls! I HATE the bloody things!!!! My stinking pig of a neighbour beneath me also fits into this category. Why, seagulls are just vermin and the noise is incesssant! My neighbour simply becasue he stinks, he feeds seagulls, he sounds like a pig when he coughs up his oysters and he has been casuing me some serious trouble regarding my starting a business. Every night he bangs on the walls and ceiling and the heating pipes. I just simple hate the bloke and that is a very uncharacteristic thing for me.Sorry for that outburst but I feel better now it is off my chest! |

If your neighbour is that bad, couldn't you call the police about his rowdiness? I have seen that sort of thing in the papers, person given an asbo for making too much noise etc.
