Then all of a sudden it goes back to blue!
The white packaging was displayed this afternoon in the Top Trumps shop but then no longer anymore? Very strange indeed! Edited by Medusa - 06 November 2009 at 19:21 |

A touch of confusion regarding the Star Wars Tournament game, as I've just seen it on play.com, for £17.99 - I'll try and find out about the HMV exclusivity etc.
However, interesting that the Play write-up mentions a brand new SW TT deck !
"Use the Force with Top Trumps Tournament: Star Wars Edition! This complete collection is a must for any fan of Darth Vader, Obi-Wan, Yoda and every other Jedi, Sith, creature and starship from the Star Wars universe. The game comes with six fantastic packs, including the exclusive Star Wars: Top 30 Moments pack featuring the most memorable scenes in the history of the galaxy! Is your favourite in there? Spin your way through a variety of fun fast-paced minigames as you race to fill your scorebar and be the champion!"

I thought it wasn't exclusive as I thought I saw it somewhere else.
I have just looked at HMV website and Star Wars is no longer there anymore. £17.99 from play.com is a lot cheaper than £25 here, the plot certainly thickens! |

They have redone the website to advertise this similar to the way they do it for the 3D packs.

There was a big pile of the Star Wars Tournament games in my local HMV today. But all priced up at £24.99. I'll take my chances with Play.com and hopefully save £8 - even if it does involve a little wait.
The packs inside are....
Star Wars Episodes 1 - 3
Star Wars Episodes 4 - 6
Star Wars Starships
Clone Wars the cartoon series
Clone Wars the movie
Star Wars Top 30 movie moments - which looks quite an interesting pack. It's red with scenes like the Star Destroyer chasing Princess Leia's ship, Lightsaber duels, etc.

Voucher in the Daily Mirror today [Saturday 21st Nov] to send off for a free Top Trumps Tournament box [plus tournament organisers pack] for every school in the land.
That's a lot of free boxes Winning Moves could end up having to give away !
You have to be a teacher to apply, and it's one box per school, but apart from that it's a great offer....

A reader of Daily Mirror I presume Skipper! I had a peek at it too but I won't be eligable to apply for it though.
Additional details about the competition: How would you like to be the first Top Trumps Tournament national champion? As well as being great fun, Top Trumps is recognised as a useful camouflaged-learning aid, helping children to improve their literacy, numeracy and ability to make comparisons. Each school will get everything needed to stage your own first round tournament. Each school champion will be invited to play in the key elimination round. The best 36 Top Trumpers in the country will then be asked to play in the Tournament Final at the Science Museum, in London, on Saturday May 15, 2010. Plus, his or her school class will be invited along on a VIP day trip! Top Trumps Tournament is only open to children up to the age of 11 years. What does anyone think of the exclusive Star Wars: Top 30 Moments pack featuring the most memorable scenes in the history of the galaxy?
Believe this or not, my favourite scene from the films is not even included! |

My favourite moment is the opening crawl from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope:
It is a period of civil war.
During the battle, Rebel sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy.... ![]() As for a favourite quote, I got two in mind: 1) Princess Leia: Why you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy looking nerf herder! Han Solo: Who's scruffy looking? 2) Darth Vader: Don't underestimate the power of the force. |

Ah yes, of course from Princess Leia!
The top 30 moments Top Trumps pack, is it really the best scenes alone or just quotes too? Exactly what is the top 30 moments? I had a look at it but still unsure. Edited by Medusa - 26 November 2009 at 19:14 |

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I spotted this competition on a search, from SFX
You have to guess the "fake" card that has been created by WM for the competition.
SFX comp closes from what I can see the last day of January.
