As you know I have a shop where you can buy second hand/used packs as well as our own brand; Ultimate Trump!
We have decided to go ahead with the idea where we can sell your packs via our shop, for a small commission, naturally. The idea is just a prototype at the moment but there is a higher chance of selling them there in a shop environment where collectors and fans can view them. We are sure that you will get a good price that is fair and seeing as you already know me and many have dealt with me before you know I can be trusted! Give us a go! |

I like this idea - fair play to you fella.
Will you be asking the seller to send the cards/STT to you or will it be a billboard type affair?
Perhaps you can PM me the fees.

Well, the idea is to ensure the maximum visibility in a place that has proven itself ,not that the thread here has not been successful becasue it has, but where people are left with items thay have not sold, eBay is the next best option, until now.
There are two options: 1) I inform the seller when an item is sold. So for instance I sell your item for say £5.00. I take the money, deduct the small amount of sommission and send the remainder to you for you to then post to them. Or, 2) You send me the items for me to list and when they sell I send, deduct the commission and send you the rest. It is a case of trust for both parties to either send the item or to forward on the money. I will ensure that it is cheaper than putting the items onto eBay and am in the process to promote and push the shop to further increase the saleability of your items. There is a lot of details to sort out as you can imagine, but one thing is certain and that is that there will be no chance of your item being added to eBay in the wrong place and also there will be a huge amount all in one place and with one trusted seller, backed up by the main site. Obviously a few trials will have to be done but there is a higher chance of your item selling at a better price. |

Possibly. t won't be an auction, although that is something to consider. That would be a case of a blind auction (I think that is what it is called) where people send me bids and after a certain time, the highest wins.
The reason is simple and that is that the current costs of the site is beginning to get very big so, the site has got to start makng some kind of contribution to it's running costs. One thing is certain and that is that it will not become as greedy or as complicated for the user to use, unlike eBay. Edited by Roguishness - 01 August 2010 at 08:23 |

Brave? I had a meeting with a guy who specialises in marketing and it was his idea, which I had not even thought of, but he said that if the main site is as successful as I say (over 1200 daily hits) then why not put more effort into buying/selling and to sell for others? Once he said that I realised straight away that it would be a good way to generate a little income and hopefully encourage more people to visit it and buy from it. I will be running a little practice test over the next month or so and there will be a new section on the shop site set aside. The seller will be able to keep a check what is in the shop against what they have asked me to list, this way the seller can see that his items have not been sold without their knowledge. I am still looking at commission rates and any charges via PayPal if this is the payment method. The method that the seller receives payment will be arranged between them and myself. I am also getting involved with talks with Carta Mundi about being an agent for them via the shop so collectors will be able to buy all available packs and this will then encourage other companies to do the same, hopefully. |

I have added the Seb Coe STT that I was passed a few days back and I am selling this on their behalf.
Before I can say that it is open for business I need to create an online form to submit with the full details ie condition etc as well their email and a username. I will be putting all items that I will be selling on behalf of under a heading of 3rd Party Sellers and as with everything, any changes please do say. |

Today we have officially launched our new department in our shop where you can both buy and sell! There is a simple form to fill out that gives us the necessary information needed. You need to fill this out as accurately as possible.
Your items will remain until they are either sold or removed by yourselves. If you sell them elsewhere then we must be informed to save complications. It is new, and there will no doubt be some issues but we can assure you that your items will be listed in the correct category, you will only pay 10% and does not include the postage. Postage we set and then once we have received payment from a buyer, we deduct our 10% forward the remaining to you for you to then post to the address we provide. Any charges that are accrued via Paypal, are down to yourself. |
