On today's episode of Sarah Jane.......
Amidst getting excited about the Tardis appearing in the next time trailer, I'd forgotten just how good so many of the elements of that story were. The performance of the alien girl was superb, lass playing Rani also showed real vulnerability. Exceptionally good banter between Sarah and Clyde too! Edited by Medusa - 22 October 2009 at 18:25 |

How does K9 manage the stairs? Probably uses stair negotiation mode of course!
I think the Doctor has the TARDIS in the wrong gear. It doesn't sound as fluid as normal. It would have been nice if the Doctor's appearance would have been a secret (imagine hearing the TARDIS and not knowing!). But let's be honest, the BBC are chasing high ratings (and I don't blame them!) so they had to let people know that the Doctor would be on it! A good cliff hanger to leave on and also interesting to see what happens next. Anyway, that was brilliant. Best one so far. |

I can confirm that Doctor Who: Waters of Mars will be aired on Sunday November 15 at 7pm on BBC One.
The episode will be followed by two more specials featuring Tennant's final outings as The Doctor before his regeneration and replacement by Matt Smith. Edited by Medusa - 30 October 2009 at 11:53 |

Wedding Part 2.....
Hugely enjoyable episode. I really liked what they did though... this was definately a Sarah-Jane story. The Doctor was more of a supporting character... and rightly so. Difficult task to achieve but they managed it. I did feel there was a sadness in which Doctor Who acted in this episode, whether that was a choice or because he was doing his last scenes as the doctor I dont know. Sarah-Jane (and Peter) saved the day but still... wow! And it seems the Trickster also knows of the impending regeneration. Brilliant impressive episode, well done BBC! Are you bored of 'The Waters Of Mars' yet? No? Good. Here are some freshly-released pictures:
![]() ![]() ![]() By the way, the thing The Doctor and Adelaide are riding there is a robot named Gadget, which is controlled by a young American lad called Roman. On first sight, The Doctor takes an instant dislike to Gadget, declaring: 'I hate funny robots.' Needless to say, he has a change of heart when Gadget is on hand to help him escape from a couple of water-spouting freaks! |

Apparently Waters of Mars is the scariest episode of Doctor Who to be shown, according to David Tennant himself.

On today's episode of Sarah Jane Adventures......
That was bloody spooky! The way Erasmus kept appearing not just on monitors but behind people was really scary and the nursery scene could have rivalled "The Others" for terror! This was the story I knew least about so was pleasantly surprised! Very enjoyable episode, looking forward to part two! ![]() |

I forgot to say that is it true that some of the scenes set in the house, especially those in the
library, very reminiscent of 'Terror of the Zygons' is a 1975 Doctor Who story
that featured SJS as companion?

However, episode 2 was less good, and caught up with a technobabble ending.
Erasmus Darkening was a brilliant character. A proper villian! 'Miss Smeeeeeeeeeeth'. Wonderful Donald Sumpter is always a good actor. Not sure about the actor playing Toby though. Floella Benjamin! Where has she been all my life? Love her. It did seem a bit like everyone trapped by the house had died, and I'd have liked a little more detail there. Maybe best not to detail it too much, though, as it is aimed at 8yr olds? The unseen monster was a great way to capitalise on the reduction in SJA's budget. Again, they couldn't really show a proper transdimensional monster with slathering jaws on kids telly. Edited by Medusa - 09 November 2009 at 11:19 |
