I have seen so many pre-release spoiler pictures and one of them stands out as one of the biggest of the lot in impact
Rory is holding Amy's lifeless body and looks like he is starting to cry! |

Unless you got a massive screen, like a projector for one.

Well, my laptop screen is the same size as that of a small television. I would just love to steal a projector from school though and use that. That would be cool.

Well folks, I didn't watch anything on tv today as I was too tired - I had to sleep for a bit.
Been a very bad day, I didn't eat at all today - my appetite just went out of the window. Couldn't get anything down my stomach. I try see if I can do a review tomorrow folks as I got it recorded. |

OK then. I will try and ruin it for you. If you are sensible, you will stay away from this thread if not, that's your fault.
![]() So, Rory was not Rory. He was an Auton. Should have known that. Oh well. The message from his friends at the beginning was good actually. It went quite well. Overall, a great episode. I only noticed some of the enemies in the Confidential though and didn't see most in the episode. |

The Pandorica Opens - my verdict:
I think the whole episode was brilliantly constructed, great sense of build through the episode, and the script was sparkling: funny, sad, tense, dramatic, unsettling in terms. I think the key word for the tone meetings must have been 'Spielberg' the sets and direction and lighting, it looked glorious. I particularly love how the villains have a reason for their actions. Moffat's frequently do, thinking about it (Gas Mask kids were trying to find their mummy, Weeping Angels were trying to stay alive, Clockwork robots were trying to fix their ship). Unlike past series finales, its not just some psycho nutter trying to blow up the universe for no apparent reason. There's a logic behind it - that makes it way more scary. Nice to see River Song not quite so smug in this episode, and there's not much danger of her being dead at the hands of the exploding TARDIS, because we've already seen her further forward in her own timeline. Why does everyone think Amy is dead? (apart from the obvious - Karen has been talking about looking forward to coming back next year) We didnt see what happened - she was "shot" off screen, we heard it but didnt see it - all we saw was her body going limp and her head tilting backwards? She was knocked out thats all ! The ruse with Amy's storybooks was inspired though, and the Romans were a great way to reintroduce us to the Nestene consciousness and the Autons. And what a twist to make Rory one of them! Anyone know why there was a photo of Amy and Roman Rory at Amy's house? Is there any possibility that Amy is somehow the child of The Doctor and Riversong, hence she has such importance in the story? Why does Amy have a toy TARDIS in her bedroom? Did the Doctor crash out of the fictional into the real world in The Eleventh Hour? Or have all his enemies truly combined to save the universe from the cracks in time, which, as they claim at the end, have been caused by the Doctor's long history of changing history? Also I did laugh at the Cyberman saying "you will be assimilated!" I half expected Andrew Lloyd Webber to be sat in the Pandorica. "You can be my Dorothy now Doctor!" Around the 46 minute mark there is a shot of all the villians whilist the Doctor is being put in the Pandorica. To the left (screen left) of the red Dalek there is an alien which appears to have a red mohawk or be part fish or something? Is it Torchwood Blowfish? The incidental music was good again but my one and only quibble was that the music leading upto the cliffhanger was low key and I felt a bit more could have given it more impact as has been the case in the other cliffhangers this series. Next week the young Amy will open the The Pandorica and set the Doctor free and that's my bet! I suspect everything in the final episode is going to tie into Amy's Choice. It seemed really out of place and a bit of a strange episode at the time, but will probably make perfect sense come this time next week. I just know that Amelia will somehow release the Doctor, and that time will be rewritten, and Rory and Amy will be together again; after all, it is still the day before their wedding. What’s going to happen to the TARDIS? That’s due to explode and everything’s due to end on the 26th June – next Saturday of course – and while we’ve been reminded that everything can come back if it’s remembered, it’s going to take something sizeable to dig everyone out of this one. Next Saturday is also Glastonbury festival, which takes place just up the road from Stonehenge. Are we reading too much in to wonder if the two things could be related? My greatest fear is that they wont be able to make part two anywhere near as good as this. I have one minor criticism - it's so hard to see what's going to be in the finale that it's a bit difficult to get properly excited about it. My imagination is stumped rather than stoked. I'll bet that whatever happens next week will have most of the audience slapping their foreheads and going "why didn't I spot that!" and in a much cleverer way than bad wolf! Congratulations to every single member of the cast and crew who must've put so much work, thought and effort into it, and especially to Matt Smith, Steven Moffat and Karen Gillan. No wonder the BBC premiered it at BAFTA. Was it good enough for you folks? I hope so. Edited by Medusa - 20 June 2010 at 06:08 |

Wow. That is long. Medusa, it isn't a toy. It is a model. Amy had made dolls of her and The Doctor and so made one of the TARDIS too.
Yes, the Blowfish was supposed to be in it although I didn't see it. The Weevils I only saw in the Confidential too. That may be why Amy has dolls of the Raggedy Doctor as well as the Doctor in normal clothes then. She may have remembered him from rescuing him as a child. |

OK. I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I might as well tell you again if I have.
Amy's house, from the outside is two storeys high. So, what is with the second staircase? Another perception filter as seen in The Lodger maybe? Also, massive spoilers ahead of tomorrows episode. I accidentally read them not realising what they were. http://io9.com/5570394/bluehinters-doctor-who-spoilers |

Well I thought it was an excellent episode last night, probably my favourite out of the series but the last one usually is the best, in my opinion, it was even
better than the first part! You were constantly being
given new and exciting information to take in.
![]() I am disappointed that we didn't have one of Medusa's excellent reviews to look forward to reading this morning, they were always really interesting. I also feel a bit disappointed in that as we have now finally reached the end of the series and there will be nothing good to watch on Saturday night's now. I did enjoy it. If you watched the Confidential, you would find out that River Song is returning next series and the cracks and silence will be explained next series too.
Blood of the Cybermen, the second of the Adventure Games, is available for download since yesterday. Anyone downloaded it yet? |

I heard that too, shame we have to wait till next July I think it is for the next series to start. I understand that in the next series we also find out about a lot more about River Song too.
I have not tried the game yet, I don't really play games on the PC. Do you know if it is any good? Edited by Young07 - 27 June 2010 at 21:59 |
