Sounds good, from my observations something is desperatly needed to get this forum back up and running like it was during the last few years.

the only thing that can possibly be done is an injection of enthusiasm by PTT to us members....but i'm afraid (bar a few) they are all wrapped up in euro/us success.
i am seriously thinking of cancelling my subscription and buying from the high street instead...its cheaper for one thing...also why does ptt deserve my loyalty!

I am not a subscriber but buy every pack. I have now learned that by waiting a few months or so i can buy packs off ebay for about £2 sealed.which means i can buy 2 packs for the price of 1. I will buy from PTT shop if there is a free stt card. and if you pay the full price as the packs come out you still have to wait forever to add them to your stars collection. Ptt should do more to keep us collectors happy. who would agree with the idea that when the my stars reached a new 500 stars anyone who gets to the 500 milestone should recieve something for spending £2000.00 over the years.a gunmetal holder would be nice.

This is all super feedback - I'll be sure to pass it on.
I must admit I really enjoyed getting the STT's with the recent 3D pack orders last year.

I reckon that us forum members who come on at least every 3 days or so should get given something in recognition of our support.

What about the ones who are permanently signed in, leave their system on 24/7 and check the pages evey few hours only to have witnessed the forum die a slow death over the last 6 months?

Basically, the forum is ours and it is what we make it. It has been extremely quiet but it has certainly picked up a bit since the new Year. I've made suggestions to the powers that be that the forum is advertised again on one of the advert cards inside the packs. I've also sent e-mails out to some of the old regulars asking them to come back on.
As stated above, it is what we make it and to be honest I've enjoyed the resurgence in the last couple of weeks. Long may it continue |

I am one of those you speak of however I won't apologise for working from home and having the forum as my homepage. Nor will I apologise for not posting if I have nothing to say. I, like many others, have been getting fed up with the quality of UK releases and the lack of STT activity over here but there has been alot of negative feedback on here to that effect and it won't change Winning Moves strategies. I don't expect anything from PTT just for being logged on. The MOTM scheme is fine. Quality posts that help other TT fans or brings some interest to the forum deserves a free pack now and then. I agree there should be more insentive to subscribe like the STTs with the 3D packs but the choice is ours we don't have to I have not had a gun pressed to my head.
There has been regularly 30+ people on the forum either lurkers or members not logged on all "watching the forum die".
I hope this will be my 1st and last negative post of the year as I believe it's posts like these that get people down and not bother coming on at all. ( and yes I get the irony).

Well, PTT don't really seem to give much away any more. They never do club winners (last updated August 09) and there have been no competition for way over a year. Then the forum died making it harder to do MOTM meaning even less giving stuff away.

It's 19th January today. This month's MOTM will be chosen by the forum members. It is to be a secret ballot and all members are invited to choose their January MOTM and PM their choice to either myself or Ian. I'll do my best to keep my PM box empty
!!Remember it's only the 19th so you may want to leave it a while yet but all votes will be counted and the results announced on 1st February. Please do NOT post your vote on here. Cheers! Edited by deckchairarmy - 19 January 2010 at 18:47 |
